Are you visiting Lake Louise and need to see a doctor for urgent matters? We are happy to help!
here are a few important things to know before reaching out to our clinic.
We do not direct bill medical insurance
If you are only visiting Canada, you would not be covered under our Canadian Healthcare. You will be responsible for covering the costs associated with seeing the physician, interventions done in clinic (such as ECG, urine testing, suturing, etc.), prescriptions or medications. If you have supplemental travel insurance for your visit, we will provide all the necessary documentation that your insurance company will need. The cost of the visit depends on time of day, length of visit, and procedures or interventions completed.
We cannot provide a prescription without a physician’s assessment
Did you forget your prescription at home? No problem! We can help. To ensure we safely prescribe you medication, our physician will need to assess you and your medical condition(s).
We do not do have an Xray onsite
Are you worried that you may have broken something? We do not have an X-ray machine on site. The closest Xray is located at Banff Mineral Springs Hospital. They have a 24 hours emergency department.
After Hours Care
Our physician is on call 24/7 to address any urgent matters that cannot wait till the next business day. Call the clinic and follow the prompt to speak directly to the physician on call. Due to poor reception or seeing other patients, our physician occasionally may not answer immediately. Please try again shortly, as you will not be able to leave a voicemail and the physician will not see your number or caller ID.
We do not do house calls or arrange transportation
If you are staying at one of the local hotel’s, we are unable to conduct home visits. Transportation to and from our clinic is your responsibility. Contact your hotels front desk or concierge for transportation options. If our physician assesses you in clinic and believes you need to be transported to the hospital via ambulance, our clinic will arrange this.
Bring a photo id to your appointment
We ask that you bring a valid piece of ID with you to your appointment. It must contain your full name, date of birth, and photograph.
